The Amla fruit, renowned in Ayurveda for its health promoting powers, is used in numerous herbal preparations.

For thousands of years this herb has been praised for its ability to create harmony between mind and body and to bring all three doshas (controlling elements of the body) into balance.

Maharishi Ayurveda Amlaberry uses the wild forest fruit, which is smaller and more costly, but which is highly regarded and said to be the more potent. Ayurveda describes Amla as having a muscle-building effect, and it is recommended for anyone involved in sports or taking vigorous exercise.

To create Amlaberry, Maharishi Ayurveda uses the traditional method described in the ayurvedic texts. The Amalaki fruit is dried and crushed into powder, then dipped in fresh Amalaki juice. This mixture is repeatedly ground into a powder and mixed with fresh Amalaki juice. The procedure is repeated 21 times to enhance the nourishing and rejuvenative qualities of Amlaberry.

Amlaberry also supports the health of the inner and outer skin, eye function and digestion (it reduces stomach acidity). Almaberry is an excellent source of vitamin C (350mg/100g). Each 500mg tablet contains 1.75mg of vitamin C.
